In a nutshell:

1. The cards are distributed evenly among the four players.
2. Each player can either "pass" or bid on the number of tricks they believe their team can win above 6 for any suit or "No Trump."
3. The bidding progresses akin to an auction, with each player able to make a higher bid or pass.
4. The player on the left of the Declarer leads the game by playing the first card.
5. Subsequently, every player takes turns to play one card, adhering to the same suit if possible. They may use a trump card if they cannot follow suit.
6. Once a trick is won with the highest-ranking card, the player who claimed it leads the first card for the next trick.
7. The objective for the winning bidding team is to secure enough tricks to fulfill or surpass their contract, while the opposing team attempts to hinder their progress by winning adequate tricks themselves.
8. After the opening lead, the dummy's cards (belonging to the Declarer's teammate) are revealed face up for all players to see. During that hand, the Declarer plays both their own cards and those of the dummy.
9. At each round's conclusion, the winning bidder receives contract points if they met or exceeded their set contract, while penalty points in the form of "Undertricks" are given to their opponents.
10. In order to achieve victory in the "Rubber," a team must accumulate the highest score after winning two out of three games. A game is considered won when a team reaches 100 contract points.
